The Makhzoumi Foundation donated 275 bitter orange (“Bou Sfeir”) saplings from its nursery to the City of Byblos, in collaboration with the Human Environmental Association for Development (HEAD), as part of the reforestation campaign launched by the Byblos Municipality on May 16 in the presence of the President of the Municipality Dr. Joseph Chami.
The initiative brought together members of the municipal council, HEAD representatives, and scouts from the Cedar Scouts Association in a tree-planting activity that started at the Sports Cycling Track Park and extended to surrounding areas.
Dr. Chami praised the collaboration between the municipality, civil society organizations, and supporting entities in promoting sustainable environmental initiatives and encouraging community engagement in environmental protection.

275 غرسة لمدينة جبيل
قدّمت مؤسسة مخزومي 275 غرسة بوصفير من إنتاج مشتلها الخاص الى مدينة جبيل، وذلك بالتعاون مع جمعية إنسان للبيئة والتنمية. وقد تمّ زرع هذه الغرسات في مدينة جبيل، ضمن حملة التشجير التي أطلقتها بلدية جبيل – بيبلوس بحضور رئيسها الدكتور جوزف الشامي، يوم السبت 16 أيار. وقد شاركت المؤسسة في هذا اليوم البيئي الى جانب أعضاء المجلس البلدي، وأعضاء جمعية إنسان للبيئة والتنمية HEAD ، وجمعية كشافة الأرز فوج الوردية – جبيل وفوج سان جان مارك – جبيل.
بدأت عملية التشجير من حديقة المسار الرياضي للدراجات، وشملت محيطه، وقد ثمّن د. الشامي أعمال مؤسسة مخزومي وجمعية HEAD، وأكد على “أهمية التعاون بين البلدية ومؤسسات المجتمع المدني والجهات الداعمة في إطلاق مبادرات بيئية مستدامة، تسهم في حماية الطبيعة وتشجع المواطنين على الإنخراط في الأنشطة البيئية الهادفة”.
