Following the large displacement to Beirut, and after the visit of MP Fouad Makhzoumi to the operations room and his request to increase the number of shelters in coordination with all concerned parties, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers approved the opening of Camille Chamoun Sports City Stadium as a shelter center to receive our displaced families.
Today, the teams and volunteers of the Makhzoumi Foundation, in cooperation with the Governor’s Office, the Beirut Municipality Emergency Operations Room, and the Disaster Risk Management Unit, are on the ground with other partners and civil society organizations working to prepare the center to receive displaced families and provide them with support during these difficult circumstances.
Beirut will always remain a home that embraces everyone.

افتتاح المدينة الرياضية كمركز إيواء للنازحين
إثر النزوح الكبير إلى بيروت، وبعد زيارة سعادة النائب فؤاد مخزومي إلى غرفة العمليات والطلب بزيادة المراكز من جميع المعنين، تمت الموافقة من رئاسة مجلس الوزراء على فتح المدينة الرياضية كمركز إيواء لاستقبال اهلنا النازحين.
واليوم، فرق ومتطوعي مؤسسة مخزومي بالتعاون مع مكتب المحافظ وغرفة الطوارئ في بلدية بيروت وهيئة إدارة الكوارث على الأرض مع باقي الشركاء والجمعيات الأهلية، تعمل على تجهيز المركز لاستقبال العائلات النازحة وتقديم الدعم لهم في هذه الظروف الصعبة.
بيروت ستبقى دائماً بيتاً يحتضن الجميع
