The Education & Livelihoods Program
Turning Skills into Sustainable Futures

Makhzoumi Foundation’s Education & Livelihoods Program empowers youth, women, and communities through market-relevant vocational training, technical education, and livelihood opportunities that support employment, self-reliance, and economic stability.

Through hands-on training in sectors such as information technology, healthcare, hospitality, beauty, culinary arts, vocational trades, and green jobs, the program helps participants build practical skills, access job opportunities, strengthen entrepreneurship, and create sustainable careers while promoting confidence, inclusion, and long-term community resilience.

Vocational & Technical Training

The program provides practical vocational and technical training designed to equip individuals with market-relevant skills that increase employability and income-generation opportunities. Training is offered across diverse sectors including information technology, healthcare, hospitality, beauty, culinary arts, carpentry, tailoring, electrical trades, and green jobs.

Employment & Entrepreneurship Support

Beyond training, the program supports participants in transitioning toward employment, self-employment, and sustainable livelihoods. Through entrepreneurship guidance, internships, job placement opportunities, mentoring, and career readiness support, beneficiaries are empowered to transform skills into income and professional growth. The program also strengthens soft skills such as communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Youth & Women Empowerment

The program places strong emphasis on empowering youth and women by creating inclusive opportunities for education, economic participation, and leadership development. Through specialized training pathways, digital education, and livelihood initiatives, participants gain the tools needed to achieve greater independence and social inclusion. Women are supported in accessing sustainable income-generating opportunities, while youth are equipped with future-ready skills.

Community Learning & Development

The program promotes lifelong learning and community engagement through workshops, educational activities, summer programs, awareness sessions, and community-based initiatives. It helps individuals strengthen personal development, creativity, digital literacy, and civic engagement. Partnerships with educational institutions, private sector actors, and local organizations expands opportunities for professional growth and community resilience.
