The Makhzoumi Foundation’s Development Program participated in the “Agricultural, Landscape, Nutrition, and Food Industries Exhibition”, that was held by the Alumni Club of the American University of Beirut, branch of the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, on campus, over three days 3-4 and 5 October 2019.
The exhibition included a series of seminars and lectures on agricultural products, tools and medicines, and on the importance of bees and solar energy.
Makhzoumi Foundation’s booth displayed three types of exhibits: seedlings and shrubs from the Makhzoumi Foundation nursery in Akkar, homemade pastries and desserts from Handy Gourmet and handicrafts made from reused materials, also known as upcycling.
In the exhibition, Makhzoumi Foundation also established containers for sorting paper and solid waste as part of its “Yalla Nefroz” initiative launched back in 2016 to collect and transport sorted wastes to factories for recycling.
