Building societies requires building capabilities. And what’s better than ripple effect capacity building to ensure having helped as much as possible?
At Makhzoumi foundation, we applied our ripple effect system with “Beirut Codes” workshop. Through Beirut Codes we introduced coding to young university students and equipped them with one of the most demanding 21st century skills: Micro Bit; These young trainees will become trainers themselves, where they will train 24 kids on coding, afterwards kids will be divided into teams to create coding projects.
The project started with an onsite training for university aged youth that focused on technical and programmatic aspects. Students were introduced on how to code and teach coding for school students.
A “Training Of Trainers” TOT was provided in order to facilitate the youth journey in delivering the training. Outreach of several schools is in progress aiming to training students enrolled in schools of age 10-14 will take place in the first quarter of 2022.
School youth will test their creativity and innovation through projects that relates to environment and their community. Students will pitch their ideas for a chance of winning several awards.

في مؤسسة مخزومي ، طبقنا نظامنا المضاعف مع ورشة عمل “دورة الترميز في بيروت”. من خلال الدورة، أدخلنا البرمجة إلى طالبات وطلاب الجامعات، وزودناهم بواحدة من أكثر مهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين تطلبًا: Micro Bit؛ سيصبح هؤلاء المتدربون اليافعون مدربين بأنفسهم، حيث سيقومون بتدريب 24 طفلاً على البرمجة، وبعد ذلك سيتم تقسيم الأطفال إلى فرق لإنشاء مشاريع البرمجة.
بدأ المشروع بتدريب في الموقع للشباب في سن الجامعة ركز على الجوانب الفنية والبرنامجية. تم تعريف الطلاب على كيفية البرمجة وكيفية تعليم الترميز لطلاب المدارس.
تم توفير “تدريب المدربين” من أجل تسهيل رحلة الشباب في تقديم التدريب. فيما يجري التواصل مع العديد من المدارس بهدف تدريب الطلاب المسجلين في المدارس التي تتراوح أعمارهم بين 10 و 14 عامًا في الربع الأول من عام 2022.
سيختبر شباب المدارس إبداعهم وابتكارهم من خلال مشاريع تتعلق بالبيئة ومجتمعهم. كما سيقوم الطلاب بعرض أفكارهم للحصول على فرصة للفوز بالعديد من الجوائز.
