العربيةOn the 19th of May 2016, an awareness session on “Child Sexual Abuse Prevention” was delivered by Makhzoumi Foundation Relief Unit to Syrian and Iraqi Women and adolescents. The offender’s tricks to lure children were pointed out, discussed and acted by every pair of the attendees. Rules that must be taught to children were elaborated (like bad touch versus good touch, good secrets versus bad secrets, when to accept gifts, the underwear rule and the like). Child’s self-alarm during a strange uncomfortable situation, how to lessen any ambiguity regarding sexual abuse disclosure and finally signs of sexual abuse were also discussed. The participants found the session very beneficial and enjoyable. The information shared could be spread out with neighbors, friends, and children.
