Be an active member, your community needs you. We support you!
Educational institutions are not only about studying, examinations, and tuition. Community service is becoming a greater component of several universities and schools.
Colleges and schools serve an important role in cultivating a culture of lifelong citizenship and service. When students volunteer as students, they are more likely to become involved community members as adults.
The benefits of community volunteerism range from early work experience, eligibility for certain scholarships and grants, academic credit, and endless life skills.
Local and International
The volunteering program at the StepForward Initiative program is not only for locals, but it’s also for international students who are looking forward to gaining experience and meeting new people.
As an international student, you may utilize volunteer work to learn new skills or build on those you already have. You might also look for volunteer opportunities that are connected to your field of study.
Meeting new people is one of the most enjoyable aspects of volunteering. Building ties in a new environment may be difficult for an international student. Volunteering, on the other hand, will need you to collaborate with new groups of individuals to reach a shared objective.
At our program, you will have several opportunities to converse and connect with others in a friendly environment.
Opportunity
Our Community Service program at the StepForward Initiative, offers opportunities for everyone to get involved.
If you have never volunteered or are looking to reconnect, it is never too late to join our community of dedicated, passionate, and supportive volunteers. Through our program, there are opportunities to assist at one-time events, or you may volunteer to offer your abilities and time on a more regular basis through our volunteering program.
Our team is always looking forward to welcoming new members on board and provide them with the chance to devote their skills and expertise to benefit their community.
– LAU Volunteers
The StepForward Initiative program had the delightful opportunity to welcome thirty-five volunteers from the Lebanese American University.
In the first stage of meeting our volunteers, our team conducted interviews with each student in which we introduced the StepForward Initiative program, its goals, and opportunities. We also provided them with the necessary information they need to start their volunteering journey, such as their volunteer hours, volunteer expectations, volunteering fields, and teamwork opportunities, among other things.
– Beirut Clean-up Initiative
With the collaboration of various organizations and with the support of the Makhzoumi Foundation, the StepForward Initiative program is thrilled to be a part of the Beirut Clean-up Initiative. Volunteers dedicated their time and effort to cleaning Hamra Street on October 5th starting at 1 pm till 5 pm. These 5 hours of voluntary activity significantly contributed to our community; individuals worked hand-in-hand to ensure cooperation, productivity, and civility.
Step by step, hand in hand, we can make a difference!
