Being the Lebanese partner of the “DIVE-IN” project, Makhzoumi Foundation participated in the Peer Learning Seminar at the Mediterranean Information Office (MIO-ECSDE) in Athens, whereby it provided a group of educators and professionals from Greece, Jordan and Palestine with a workshop about social inclusion in Lebanon.
The workshop was held on the 24th of May 2019 and included an overview of the situation in Lebanon with its unique mosaic of 18 sects, the different ethnicities and nationalities of migrants it received in the last and current century, and the migrant domestic workers in the country, stressing on good and bad examples.
The Foundation’s experience in projects were also shared with emphasis on lessons learned and success stories. Similarly, Makhzoumi Foundation attended the workshops delivered by the partners from different nationalities.
The “DIVE-IN” project aims at supporting educators, animators, and trainers from both the formal and non-formal system in designing and applying inclusive education practices for diverse groups, with emphasis on disadvantaged learners.
