Makhzoumi Foundation, in cooperation with SAWA Association for Development, organized a training course for 15 young men and women, on the path of empowering youth and women in the field of the doctor’s assistant, in Makhzoumi Foundation’s branch in Zahle.
In the details of the course, the training lasted 120 hours, divided into 90 hours of training on the tasks and functions of the doctor’s assistant, and 10 hours of training with the Lebanese Red Cross, during an activity held at the SAWA Center in Bar Elias city, in Beqaa area, and another 20 hours of training on computers, at Makhzoumi Foundation Zahle Branch.
Through this course, trainees became doctor’s assistants, having enhanced their knowledge of the pathology approach, developing and managing treatment plans, prescribing drugs and providing primary health care.
This project comes as part of a series of projects carried out by Makhzoumi Foundation, in various Lebanese regions, and in cooperation with a number of local and international associations and organizations, in order to empower youth and women, by training them to provide multiple employment opportunities.
