Empowering Women in the Agri-food Sectorتمكين المرأة في قطاع الأغذية الزراعية

Makhzoumi Foundation participated on March 5^th in the launching of the project “Support to Women Cooperatives and Associations in the Agro-Food sector of Lebanon”, at Lancaster Hotel, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization FAO, and funded by the Embassy of Canada.

This project – informally known as “Rural Pioneers” – aims to support Lebanese women cooperatives / associations to develop and implement business plans in the agro-food sector.

شاركت مؤسسة مخزومي يوم 5 آذار في إطلاق مشروع “دعم التعاونيات والجمعيات النسائية في قطاع الأغذية الزراعية في لبنان” ، في فندق لانكستر، والذي نظمته وزارة الزراعة ومنظمة الأمم المتحدة للأغذية والزراعة الفاو، بتمويلٍ من السفارة الكندية في لبنان.

يهدف هذا المشروع – المعروف باسم “رائدات الريف” – إلى دعم الجمعيات التعاونية / الجمعيات النسائية اللبنانية لوضع وتنفيذ خطط أعمال في قطاع الأغذية الزراعية.
