Empowering people, including women in particular, is at the heart of Makhzoumi Foundation’s mission, especially since job opportunities are not always available.
Since learning handicrafts is a definite opportunity in the hands of the learner, for it does not require large capital and can be implemented at home and with simple tools, Makhzoumi Foundation’s development program is continuously conducting such courses.
One of these crafts is the jewelry making course, which was implemented by the program during the month of July 2019, where participants learned how to make Shamballa bracelets, and the course was admired by the participants.
تمكين المواطنين ومن بينهم النساء بشكلٍ خاص، يدخل في صلب رسالة مؤسسة مخزومي، خاصّة وأنّ فرص العمل ليست متاحة دومًا.
وبما أنّ تعلّم الحرف اليدوية يشكّل فرصة أكيدة في يد المتعلّم، إذ لا تحتاج الى رأس مال كبير ويمكن تنفيذها في المنزل وبأدوات بسيطة، يدأب برنامج التنمية في مؤسسة مخزومي على إقامة هكذا دورات تعليمية.
ومن بين هذه الحِرف حرفة صناعة الحليّ، التي نفّذها البرنامج خلال شهر تموز 2019، حيث تعلّم المشاركون فيها كيفيّة حَبكِ أساور الشامبالا Shamballa، وقد نالت الدورة إعجاب المشاركات فيها.
