As the pressures and stifling conditions increase in Lebanon, it becomes necessary to find a place to support and help people to express their concerns and feelings. This is what we aimed for through the “Expressive Art Workshop”, that was held at Makhzoumi Foundation Headquarters, in collaboration with “People Beyond Borders”.
“Maruee Pahujee” – expressive arts practitioner from People Beyond Borders – came all the way from India to Beirut, to open up the space for our beneficiaries to experience the expressive arts therapy, by using imagery, storytelling, dance, music, drama, poetry, movement, horticulture, dreamwork, and visual arts together, in an integrated way, to foster human growth, development, and healing.
The participants expressed their gratitude and appreciation for such workshop, and described it as a “needed unique healing experience”.
Ms. Pahujee also expressed her happiness to be in Beirut and be able to give this workshop.
