Whether you are hesitant to undergo screening, or anxious to know that you’re diagnosed with cancer, early detection of cancer greatly increases the chances for successful treatment. This can only be achieved through awareness campaigns and screenings that play major roles for early detection.
On this occasion, Makhzoumi Foundation had an awareness session at the Mneimneh Association where the Breast Specialist Dr Iman Sbeiti, from AUBMC who is also a member of Makhzoumi Foundation medical team, presented tips and guidelines about the importance of early detection of breast cancer and its effect on a better prognosis of the disease. Women from Mneimneh family all attended and the session ended by questions and answers that helped them through the self-exam and the pros and cons.
At the end, all attendees received coupons to do a discounted mammography at Makhzoumi Foundation primary healthcare center in Mazraa.

وفي هذه المناسبة، عقدت مؤسسة مخزومي جلسة توعوية مع جمعية منيمنة حيث قدمت أخصائية الثدي في المركز الصحي للجامعة الأميركية في بيروت، واحد أعضاء الفريق الطبي في المؤسسة الدكتورة إيمان سبيتي، نصائح وارشادات عن أهمية الكشف المبكر لسرطان الثدي وتأثير التشخيص على حياة أفضل. وقد حضرت النساء من آل منيمنة وانتهت الجلسة بحلقة نقاش عن الفحص الذاتي وايجابياته وسلبياته.
في نهاية الجلسة، قدمت مؤسسة مخزومي للمشاركات حسم خاص للتصوير الشعاعي للثدي في مركز الرعاية الصحية الأولية لديها في فرعها الرئيسي في المزرعة.
