In addition to hundreds of victims, thousands of wounded, displaced families, and demolished homes, the Beirut Port explosion left a great shock for all Lebanese. A painful reality, harsh scenes, and moments that are difficult to recall without a feeling of terror and fear.
Intervention was necessary to help our people overcome this trauma, as Makhzoumi Foundation, in the midst of this crisis, provided psychological support to those affected by the Beirut explosion.
The Foundation has designated a hotline to provide psychological support, to follow up cases quickly, and to transfer cases that require follow-up to the mental health clinic at Makhzoumi Foundation’s Primary Health Care Center.
And because in the affected areas hundreds of children who lived terrifying moments, and witnessed traumatic events, Makhzoumi Foundation’s psychological support team made tours in the “fun bus” in the affected places to help the children of these areas, by carrying out psychological support activities for them.
