The Regional Social Responsibility Network honored the President of Makhzoumi Foundation Mrs. May Makhzoumi, during the fifth “Women and Social Responsibility” Conference, which was held through the application of “Zoom”, in view of the current pandemic conditions.
The Fifth Women and Social Responsibility Conference, was held by the National Network for Social Responsibility, in partnership with the Women’s Center for Social Responsibility and the International Program for Empowering Arab Women to work in international organizations, and under the auspices of Sheikha Shaima Al Khalifa.
Mrs. Makhzoumi was awarded with the Medal of Socially Responsible Arab Women Leader during the conference, in appreciation of her continuous efforts to empower Arab women, whether in her role through Makhzoumi Foundation, or through her membership of the national network of the United Nations Global Compact Network, as a representative of the fifth goal of the sustainable development goals, Gender Equality.
A new award received by Mrs. May Makhzoumi in appreciation of all her efforts, to be added to her record and that of Lebanese women in particular, and Arab women in general, to prove time after time that women CAN!
كرّمت الشبكة الإقليمية للمسؤولية الاجتماعية رئيسة مؤسسة مخزومي السيدة مي مخزومي، خلال فعاليات مؤتمر المرأة والمسؤولية المجتمعية الخامس، والذي عُقد عبر تطبيق “زوم”، نظرًا للظروف الوبائية الراهنة.
مؤتمر المرأة والمسؤولية المجتمعية الخامس، عقته الشبكة الوطنية للمسؤولية الاجتماعية، بالشراكة مع مركز المرأة للمسؤولية المجتمعية والبرنامج الأممي لتمكين المؤأة العربية للعمل في المنظمات الدولية، وبرعاية الشيخة شيماء آل خليفة.
وقد قُلدت السيدة مخزومي، بوسام المرأة العربية القيادية المسؤولة اجتماعيا، خلال المؤتمر، تقديرًا لجهودها المُستمر في سبيل تمكين المرأة العربية، سواء بدورها عبر مؤسسة مخزومي، أو عبر عضويتها للشبكة الوطنية لبرنامج الاتفاق العالمي للأمم لالمتحدة، كممثلة للهدف الخامس من أهداف التنمية المستدامة، المساواة بين الجنسين.
جائزة جديدة تتسلمها السيدة مي مخزومي تقديرًا لجهودها كافة، تضيفها لسجلّها وسجلّ المرأة اللبنانية بشكلٍ خاص، والمرأة العربية بشكلٍ عام، لتثبت مرة بعد مرة أن المرأة تستطيع!
