Like every year, Makhzoumi Foundation receives the holy month of Ramadan with a variety of related activities, overshadowed by the familiarity, cooperation and assistance to the needy.
The foundation has become on an annual date with Ramadan village, which receives throughout the holy month, thousands of needy families, before dinner and until night hours, at a table that offers dishes of love, and activities that mark the traits of hope for a better tomorrow. The village also receives a group of volunteers who are eager to serve their community, to teach them the best ways of solidarity.
The team proceeds to preparing nearly two thousand IFTAR meals for the fasting people daily, between meals that the volunteers pack to serve for families and passers-by, and others served in the village. The attendees then follow a variety of Ramadan evenings, including games for children, religious MAWLED, educational plays, and children’s entertainment activities.
In conjunction with the village, the Eid Al-Fitr Outfit initiative was launched, where the people donated various clothes, which the volunteers packed and arranged, so that the less fortunate families came to choose Eid outfits for their children. Also, before the blessed night of Al-Qadr, a number of Qurans were assembled to distribute them to Masjids of Beirut.
In addition, food aid was distributed to the less fortunate families, in form of various food rations, which benefited nearly ten thousand families.
Various activities, Unity, Solidarity, and the spirit of the Holy Month, were translated daily in the activities of the Ramadan village, which has become an annual station that is long awaited!
