The month of Ramadan, a long-awaited month at Makhzoumi Foundation… we wish the whole year was Ramadan. As every year, Makhzoumi Foundation prepares an exceptional suit to receive the month of goodness, in which the activities of its various programs crowd together, to contribute to alleviating the stress of life in the month of mercy.
Break Your Fast Initiative
As we are accustomed to, and our people are accustomed to, during the holy month, hundreds of hot meals were distributed to needy families, daily throughout the holy month of Ramadan. The volunteers prepared and packed the meals daily, in the land of Dar Al-Fatwa Al-Islamiyyah in Verdun, to distribute them before Iftar time to those eligible.
Support for families
And since every house at the gates of the month of Ramadan needs to do shopping in preparation for the reception of the month of fasting, we also chose not to leave this tradition missing from the home of any chaste family. Thousands of food vouchers were distributed to families in need, so that they could supply their homes according to their needs.
Your health is our concern… Throughout the year
Because the health of the community is the health of the individual, Makhzoumi Foundation continued its health campaigns during the holy month, whether in its primary health care center in Barbour, or through the mobile medical unit in the land of Dar Al-Fatwa in Ramadan. These campaigns, which benefited hundreds of citizens, included free medical examinations and blood tests for diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol, and thyroid diseases.
Environment and development have a permanent presence
Among the activities set up by Makhzoumi Foundation in the land of Dar Al-Fatwa in Verdun, the environmentally friendly development and educational activities were not absent. The Environment and Development Program has held educational recreational activities for children, including environmentally friendly handicrafts that encourage recycling and reuse. The “Yalla Nefroz” initiative was also present, to promote waste sorting at the source.
These are the activities of the Foundation throughout the year, but they get intensified, and sweeter to participate in it and increase in value during the holy month of Ramadan. Happy Fitr.
