“We hold a responsibility towards each other, youth and our communities as well. We can help make a difference”. This is what a group of youth said when they met with Mr. Abdel Kader Alameddine, the head of the municipality in Al-Mina area in Tripoli, north Lebanon. Makhzoumi Foundation is committed to empowering youth and ensuring their community engagement at all levels. This visit to a notable community member is a youth Initiative that aims to connect young people from different cultures and empower them to become active in their schools, communities and youth groups. It provides a platform for them to share their experiences and creative ideas and to reach out for a support for creating their own community promotion activities in collaboration with the local authorities. This initiative is realized with the support of our partners AVSI and CESVI Onlus funded by UNICEF Lebanon.
