Proposals are key documents in Makhzoumi Foundation’s programs and projects with a main purpose to help secure funding for interventions. This is why all staff involved in programs and projects coordination attended a 3-days workshop with MzN International to know more about the basics of writing concept notes and proposals.
MzN International operates as a social enterprise, helping organizations around the world do better. They are guided by a strict ethical code, a willingness to challenge conventional thinking and they work a bit different to what many expect. The workshop gives the knowledge and skills to write donor proposals that win funds. It was also attended by participants from other NGOs in Lebanon and abroad like UPEL and Mercy Corps.
The trainer, CHRISTIAN MEYER ZU NATRUP, is the founder and Managing Director of MzN International. He is a governance reform and organizational change expert, specializing on digital transformation and making non-profit organizations financially sustainable. He presented much of his experience in the field of NGOs fundraising with a focus on the importance to understand that the proposal document has other critical functions and that proposals need to be of a good quality as a key management tool for the implementation of projects and a document that Makhzoumi Foundation will be held accountable against in terms of what its programs deliver.
The workshop was unique in its way of presenting assignments, which were all uploaded on an online platform for easy review and follow up.
