In recognition of her valued scientific efforts in the areas of empowering Arab women, the Regional Network for Social Responsibility awarded the President of Makhzoumi Foundation, Mrs. May Makhzoumi the “Scientific Efficiency” award in the field of strategies for empowering women.
This award is considered the highest on the level presented on the sidelines of the active scientific participation of Mrs. Makhzoumi in the activities of the specialized training program titled: Strategies for Empowering Arab Women to Professional Work in International Organizations.
It is noteworthy that Mrs. Makhzoumi spared no effort to support Arab women in general, and Lebanese in particular, whether through the various programs of Makhzoumi Foundation from 23 years, or through her membership as a representative of the fifth goal of the sustainable development goals – gender equality – in the Global Compact Network of the United Nations goals of sustainable development, and as a member of the National Committee for Lebanese Women.
تقديرًا لجهودها العلمية المقدرة في مجالات تمكين المرأة العربية، منحت الشبكة الأقليمية للمسؤولية المجتمعية رئيسة مؤسسة مخزومي السيدة مي مخزومي جائزة ” الكفاءة العلمية” في مجال إستراتيجيات تمكين المرأة
وتعتبر هذا الجائزة الأرفع على هذا المستوى التي تقدم على هامش المشاركة العلمية الفاعلة للسيدة مخزومي في فعاليات البرنامج التدريبي المتخصص الذي يحمل عنوان : إستراتيجيات تمكين المرأة العربية لإحتراف العمل في المنظمات الدولية.
يُذكر أن السيدة مخزومي لم توفر جهدًا لدعم المرأة العربية بشكلٍ عام، واللبنانية بشكلٍ خاص، سواء عبر برامج مؤسسة مخزومي المختلفة من 23 عام، أو عبر عضويتها كممثلة الهدف الخامس من أهداف التنمية المستدامة –المساواة بين الجنسين – في مجلس الشبكة الوطنية للميثاق العالمي للأمم المتحدة من أهداف التنمية المستدامة، وكعضو في الهيئة الوطنية لشؤون المرأة اللبنانية.
