On the end of the year 2019, Makhzoumi Foundation concluded a number of training programs to empower young men and women and enhance their opportunities to find jobs. The Foundation has held a number of free training courses throughout the year, in cooperation with international organizations such as AVSI, CEVSI, GIZ, DFAT, Save The Children, and Near East, with the aim of helping young men and women, especially with the circumstances in Lebanon, based on curricula emanating from the private sector needs and labor market needs, in addition to training professors to become specialized trainers, in their turn.
The number of beneficiaries of these free courses reached 967 trainees, who received various courses on job skills, life skills, construction, wall painting and tiling, accounting, welding, home electrician, sewing and embroidery, elderly care, phone repair, hairdressing and makeup. The trainees were distributed in various Lebanese regions, starting from the capital Beirut, and Baalbek Hermel, the Beqaa, Tripoli, Akkar, and Mount Lebanon.
It is worth noting that the training included not only young men and women, but also included dozens of professors – training of trainers – to become specialized trainers, in their turn.
This professional training aims to help youth determine the career path to be chosen, and provide them with practical experience and technical skills in the fields previously mentioned, so these professional skills become a tool with which they can build a better future.
