Makhzoumi Foundation participated at the 9th CSR LEBANON forum, that was held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beirut, on the third of October 2019, the largest and most comprehensive CSR and Sustainability summit in the region.
The forum aimed to place a strong emphasis on scaling up the circular economy transition by increasing investments into circular economy businesses, spreading and adopting new technologies and making significant regulatory changes that enable the circular economy to flourish. A socially and economically fair and inclusive transition is key to achieving circularity.
Because of the importance of Circular Economy, to reach UN Sustainable Development Goals SDGs include topics such as no poverty, good health, gender equality, climate action, and responsible consumption and production, over 25 expert speakers from around the world and 500 registered attendees gathered over 6 sessions, to cover one of the most pressing issues of our time – the Circular Economy.
شاركت مؤسسة مخزومي في المنتدى التاسع للمسؤولية الاجتماعية للشركات الذي عقد في فندق فورسيزونز في بيروت، في الثالث من تشرين الأوّل 2019، وهو أكبر وأشمل قمة حول المسؤولية الاجتماعية للشركات والاستدامة في المنطقة.
يهدف المنتدى إلى التركيز على توسيع نطاق انتقال الاقتصاد الدائري من خلال زيادة الاستثمارات في أعمال الاقتصاد الدائري ونشر التكنولوجيات الجديدة واعتمادها وإجراء تغييرات تنظيمية مهمة تمكن الاقتصاد الدائري من الازدهار. الانتقال الاجتماعي والاقتصادي العادل والشامل هو المفتاح لتحقيق التعميم.
نظرًا لأهمية الاقتصاد الدائري للوصول إلى أهداف الأمم المتحدة للتنمية المستدامة، مثل القضاء على الفقر، تأمين الصحة الجيدة، والمساواة بين الجنسين، والعمل المناخي، والاستهلاك والإنتاج المسؤول، إجتمع أكثر من 25 متحدثًا من الخبراء من جميع أنحاء العالم، بحضور 500 من المسجلين، خلال 6 جلسات، لتغطية واحدة من القضايا الأكثر إلحاحًا في عصرنا – الاقتصاد الدائري.
