The first reason we have not yet achieved gender equality in every realm is that women and girls’ voices are too often excluded from global and national decision-making.
In its mission to promote gender equality and empower women via the labor force, Makhzoumi Foundation was already making strides to uplift the status of and increase the overall opportunity of women in Lebanon.
On this occasion, Makhzoumi Foundation, in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and in collaboration with the Social Development Centers of the Ministry of Social Affairs (SDCs), conducted training workshop on gender equality and its consequences on the community.
The trainees were community leaders, social and community workers from the SDCs, municipalities and NGOs in Beirut and Mount Lebanon.
