In celebration of 20 years of empowering people and changing life,Makhzoumi Foundation organized a brunch at Movenpick Hotel-Beirut, on March 1, 2018, including an exhibition of environmental and handicraft works. Dr. Fouad Makhzoumi, the Founder and honorary President, spoke about the Foundation’s efforts during these 20 years to enable individuals to be distinguished in society. The President of the Foundation, Ms. May Makhzoumi, spoke about the Foundation’s progress and its achievements in different fields through its various programs and projects. The Development Program Manager, Eng. Sallama Naamani, presented the program’s activities, especially the “Yalla Nefroz” initiative, which aims to raise awareness on the importance of sorting waste and protecting the environment. Two presentations were displayed as well, one on the craft and environmental workshops conducted by the Development Program and the other on the financial services provided by the Microcredit Program.
نظمت “مؤسسة مخزومي “فطورا صباحياً في فندق “الموفنبيك” – بيروت، تضمّن معرضاً للأشغال البيئية والحرفية. وتحدّث خلاله الدكتور فؤاد مخزومي عن سعي المؤسسة منذ عشرين سنة الى تمكين الأفراد كي يكونوا متميزين في المجتمع. وتكلّمت رئيسة المؤسسة السيدة مي مخزومي عن تطور المؤسسة وإنجازاتها في مجالات مختلفة من خلال برامجها المتنوعة. فيما عرضت مديرة برنامج التنمية المهندسة سلاّمة نعماني لأنشطة البرنامج، وعلى رأسها مبادرة “يلا نفرز”، التي تهدف إلى التوعية على أهمية فرز النفايات، وحماية البيئة. كما كان عرض للدورات الحرفية والبيئيّة التي ينفّذها البرنامج، وللخدمات المالية التي يتيحها برنامج القروض الصغيرة.
