A new mental health training was done by International Medical Corps (IMC) in Lebanon for healthcare workers who are considered to be frontliners. This means that the persons who are the first to get in contact with patients in the primary healthcare center are called upon for a training in the basics of the detection and referral of mental health patients. The purpose of this training was to elucidate changes in attitudes, experiences, readiness, and confidence levels of healthcare workers to perform adequate detection and referral to mental health services. In addition, the healthcare workers were trained on the best communication skills and interviewing practices through role plays and interactive presentations.
