Due to the economic crisis that’s weighing on the shoulders of the population in Lebanon, citizens and displaced, malnutrition cases are on the rise.
A regional delegation from World Health Organization conducted an informative visit to Makhzoumi Foundation’s Primary Health Care Center, in the presence of Ministry of Public Health and IOCC representatives.
The focus of the visit was to study the Malnutrition Screening and Treatment program, knowing that Makhzoumi Foundation is a referral center in Beirut and Mount Lebanon.
The process of managing several cases of malnutrition by the health care team in susceptible children and pregnant/lactating women was well detailed and observed.
بسبب الأزمة الاقتصادية التي تثقل كاهل السكان في لبنان، المواطنين والنازحين، فإن حالات سوء التغذية في ازدياد.
أجرى وفد إقليمي من منظمة الصحة العالمية زيارة إستعلامية إلى مركز الرعاية الصحية الأولية التابع لمؤسسة مخزومي، بحضور ممثلين عن وزارة الصحة العامة وممثلين عن IOCC.
تركزت الزيارة على دراسة برنامج فحص وعلاج سوء التغذية، مع العلم أن مركز الرعاية الصحيّة الأوّلية في مؤسسة مخزومي هو مركز إحالة في بيروت وجبل لبنان.
تم تفصيل وملاحظة عملية إدارة العديد من حالات سوء التغذية من قبل فريق الرعاية الصحية حول الأطفال المعرضين للإصابة والحوامل والمرضعات.
