As part of its summer program for children, the Environment and Development Program at Makhzoumi Foundation – Beirut hosted an interactive session for children aged 7–13. The activity was designed to raise environmental awareness through a fun and engaging experience that blended education with entertainment.
During the event, the children were introduced to the basics of agriculture and its tools. They learned how to prepare soil and care for seedlings before taking part in the hands-on planting of a basil plant under the supervision of the program team. The participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the activity and enjoyed learning new information about the importance of plants and their role in protecting the environment.
The gathering concluded in a joyful and fun atmosphere, where the children enjoyed preparing and eating pasta, adding a unique touch to the activity that successfully combined education and enjoyment while encouraging them to adopt environmentally friendly practices in their daily lives.

التعرّف على الزراعة من خلال الأنشطة الصيفية
ضمن النشاطات الصيفية للأولاد أقام برنامج البيئة والتنمية في مؤسسة مخزومي _ بيروت، لقاءً تفاعليًا جمع أطفالًا تتراوح أعمارهم بين 7 و13 عامًا، وتضمّن نشاطًا بيئيًا وتوعويًا هادف جمع بين التعلّم والترفيه.
وخلال اللقاء، تعرّف المشاركون على أسس الزراعة وأدواتها، وتعلّموا كيفية إعداد التربة والعناية بالشتول، قبل أن يشاركوا عمليًا في زراعة نبتة الريحان بإشراف فريق البرنامج. وقد أبدى المشاركون حماسًا كبيرًا خلال النشاط، واستمتعوا باكتساب معلومات جديدة حول أهمية النباتات ودورها في الحفاظ على البيئة.
واختُتم اللقاء بأجواء من الفرح والمرح، حيث استمتع الأولاد بإعداد وتناول الباستا، ما أضفى على النشاط طابعًا مميزًا جمع بين الفائدة والمتعة وشجّعهم على تبنّي سلوكيات صديقة للبيئة في حياتهم اليومية.
