Makhzoumi Foundation in Tripoli implemented a package of life and social skills aimed at enabling girls and boys, from displaced and hosting communities to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to address key issues related to social, cognitive and emotional skills.
The activities took place under the supervision of the Community Protection Unit of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and in cooperation with the Danish Refugees Council (DRC) in Lebanon. These skills constitute a “comprehensive” approach to behavior change, such as learning communication skills, decision making, controlling emotions, persistence, building self-esteem and resisting peer pressure, going beyond being an educational information guide.
