Makhzoumi Foundation organized on June 21, 2017, a day for skills training sessions at RHSU-Jnah including four different trainings (cookie-making, chocolate molding, ceramics-making, and flower arrangement) as follows:
1- Cookie-making training session attended by 34 beneficiaries
2- Chocolate molding session attended by 36 beneficiaries
3- Ceramics-making attended by 35 Females-10 Males.
4- Flower arrangement attended by 40 beneficiaries
The workshop aimed at celebrating “Eid Fitr” by developing beneficiary skills in the different sessions provided in an entertaining atmosphere. The multicultural environment of the various sessions promotes communication and tolerance between different nationalities, ethnicities and genders; each session was attended by a constituent of Syrian, Iraqi, Sudanese, Somali, and Ethiopian nationals in addition to Lebanese people from the host community.
The different trainings transferred basic skills and information from different crafts that might be turned into a career or a business if the beneficiary decided to build upon those principles and develop their skills. Even if the beneficiaries have no career or business goals, the skills acquired can be used as an inexpensive way to bake or decorate for their own families in different occasions.
نظمت مؤسسة مخزومي في 21 حزيران 2017، في مبنى وحدة الإغاثة في الجناح، ورشة عمل تحت عنوان اليوم الحرفي؛ وقد تضمّن الدورات المختلفة التالية:
- إعداد بسكويت الكوكيز, وكان عدد الحضور هو 34 مستفيدا
- صب وتزيين الشوكولا, وكان عدد الحضور هو 36 مستفيدا
- السيراميك, وكان عدد الحضور هو 45 مستفيدا
- تنسيق الزهور, وكان عدد الحضور هو 40 مستفيدا
كان الهدف من هذه الورشة هو أن يحتفل المستفيدون من مختلف الجنسيات بعيد الفطر, بالإضافة إلى اكتساب المهارات في جو من التسلية والترفيه. التعددية الموجودة في اليوم الحرفي تحفز على التواصل والتسامح بين مختلف الجنسيات, الأعراق والجندريات اذ كان الحضور من مختلف الجنسيات منها السورية, العراقية, السودانية, الإثيوبية بالإضافة إلى اللبنانية.
وتقوم الدورات التدريبية المختلفة بالتدريب على اكتساب المهارات والمعلومات الأساسية من الحرف المختلفة التي قد تتحول إلى مهنة أو عمل تجاري إذا أراد المستفيد الإنطلاق من تلك المبادئ والعمل على تطوير مهاراته. وحتى لو لم يكن للمستفيدين أهداف مهنية أو تجارية، فإنهم يمكنهم استخدام المهارات المكتسبة كوسيلة غير مكلفة سواء لصنع الحلويات أو التزيين لأسرهم في مختلف المناسبات الخاصة.
