“She’s Entrepreneur”, an initiative by Makhzoumi Foundation in partnership with Berytech, was held on the 16 and 17th of August, 2017, in Berytech Building, Mathaf. These two days were especially designed for female students or recent graduates from 18 to 28 years old to inspire them to become entrepreneurs in the future.
During the two-day workshop, the beneficiaries had the chance to have different speakers who shared their stories and experiences and delivered coaching sessions on Self-confidence, Personal Branding, Accelerators and stages of Start Up development; the beneficiaries had also the chance to get some personalized pitching advices.
We had the honor to receive Mrs. May Makhzoumi who showed by example how a female leader is. In addition, she shared her knowledge and displayed her passion of empowering the other. Thanks to her, the women could see how strong they can be and how they should take all the opportunities present around them.
We thank Berytech who organized and implemented a panel session where the panellists talked about their companies, their success and their challenges and gave as well advice to the future.
Afterwards, the women started pitching their ideas individually in front of the audience and were judged by four experts. The 3 best ideas were rewarded with a medal and a certificate of excellence, along with a voucher for a free marketing course and a free customer and sales course at Makhzoumi Foundation.
We sincerely thank those who contributed voluntary work to the “She’s Entrepreneur” initiative: to the coaches, panel speakers, experts and jury members.
The lunch and the coffee snacks for the two days were provided by Women to Women Success, a social entrepreneurship success story, that is a homemade catering which aims to support unemployed women and provide them with opportunities to enhance their skills and offer them a sustainable source of income.
The first edition of “She’s Entrepreneur” was a success with a lot of enthusiasm from both the participants and speakers. The aim to inspire students to start their own business and to empower women and make them believe in their capacities was fulfilled. We are looking forward for a next edition!
“صاحبة مشروع”، مبادرة من مؤسسة مخزومي بالشراكة مع Berytech، عُقدت في 16 و17 آب 2017، في مبنى Berytech -المتحف. وقد تم تصميم هذين اليومين خاصةً للطالبات أو الخرّيجات الجدد االلواتي تتراوح أعمارهن بين 18 و 28 عاما لحثّهن على تأسيس أعمال خاصة بهن في المستقبل.
خلال ورشة العمل التي استمرت لمدة يومين، أتيح للمستفيدات فرصة الاستماع إلى متحدثين من مجالات مختلفة تشاركوا قصصهم وخبراتهم، وقدّموا جلسات تدريبية حول الثقة بالنفس، والعلامات التجارية الشخصية، والعوامل المسرّعة، ومراحل البدء بمشروع؛ أيضاً أتيح لهن فرصة الحصول على بعض النصائح الشخصية.
كان لنا شرف استقبال السيدة مي مخزومي التي أظهرت كيف تكون المرأة القيادية، كما شاركتهن معرفتها، وعبّرت عن شغفها بمسألة العمل على تمكين الآخر. بفضلها، لمست المشاركات القوة التي يمكن أن يتّسمن بها وكيف ينبغي أن يغتنمن جميع الفرص المتاحة من حولهن.
واننا نشكر Berytic الذين قاموا بتنظيم منصة شارك فيها معنيون تحدثوا عن شركاتهم، ونجاحهم، وتحدياتهم، وقدّموا أيضا النصائح للمستقبل.
بعد ذلك، بدأت المشاركات بطرح أفكارهن أمام الحضور، وقام بالتقييم أربعة خبراء. وقد تمت مكافأة أفضل 3 أفكار بميدالية وشهادة تميّز، إضافة إلى قسيمتن لدورتين تدريبيتين مجانتيتين في مؤسسة مخزومي، إحداهما حول التسويق والثانية حول الزبون والمبيعات.
ونحن نتوجه بخالص الشكر إلى الذين ساهموا في مبادرة “صاحبة مشروع” من خلال العمل التطوّعي: إلى المدربين، والمتحدّثين في حلقة النقاش، والخبراء وأعضاء لجنة التحكيم.
تم تقديم وجبة الغداء والوجبات الخفيفة من قبل “نجاح مرأة إلى امرأ”، قصة نجاح للمشاريع الاجتماعية، وهي عبارة عن تأمين الطعام المنزلي للمناسبات وتهدف إلى دعم العاطلات عن العمل وتوفير الفرص لهن لتعزيز مهاراتهن وتزويدهن بمصدرمستدام للدخل.
كانت الطبعة الأولى من “صاحبة مشروع” ناجحة جداً مع الكثير من الحماس من قبل المشاركات والمتحدثين؛ لقد تم تحقيق الهدف بإلهام الطالبات للبدء بأعمالهن الخاصة بهن وتمكين النساء وتعزيز ثقتهن بقدراتهن. نحن نتطلع إلى الطبعة القادمة!
