As part of its summer activities for kids, the Environment/Development Program at Makhzoumi Foundation conducted a new educational and handicraft workshop for kids aged 7 to 13. The workshop aimed to develop their creative skills and enhance their environmental awareness by training them to do gardening with their own hands.
During the workshop, the kids learned about basic gardening tools and the proper steps for planting. They were also introduced to Greek Oregano, including its uses and proper care. Each kid planted their own seedling, giving them the opportunity to apply what they had learned in practice and gain firsthand experience in plant care.
At the end of the workshop, the children took their seedlings home so they would continue caring for them and benefit from them in the future.

مهارات الزراعة للأولاد
ضمن النشاطات الصيفية للأولاد، نفّذ برنامج البيئة والتنمية في مؤسسة مخزومي ورشة حرفية وتوعوية جديدة للأولاد الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين 7 و13 سنة، هدفت إلى تنمية مهاراتهم الإبداعية وتعزيز وعيهم البيئي من خلال تدريبهم على الزراعة بأيديهم. وقد تعرّف الأولاد خلال الورشة على الأدوات الزراعية الأساسية وعلى خطوات الزراعة الصحيحة. كما تعرّفوا على نبتة الزعتر العريض وكيفية استعمالها والعناية بها، وقاموا بزرع شتلتهم الخاصة، ما أتاح لهم فرصة تطبيق ما تعلّموه عمليًا واكتساب خبرة مباشرة في العناية بالنباتات، وعند انتهاء الورشة أخذوا شتلاتهم الى منازلهم لمتابعة الاهتمام بها والاستفادة منها.
