In partnership with ActionAid – the Arab Region in Lebanon, Makhzoumi Foundation organized a competition for emerging projects in the framework of the ROTA-funded Educational, Economic and Social Development Project for Youth.
After a comparison and selection of the proposed projects (of which 73), 22 projects were chosen for the final phase. These projects were presented Wednesday, March 20 at Chtoura Park Hotel, and were discussed with members of the Evaluation Committee.
After the closed presentation, Makhzoumi Foundation held a reception for officials and figures in Beqaa area, where selected projects were re-presented to the audience. These projects were discussed with the active participation of the audience.
After the ceremony, the Evaluation Committee dissolved the final selection of the winners. The results were announced: 6 projects won prizes of $ 2500 each, with consultancy and training services from Makhzoumi Foundation, to follow up these projects to ensure their sustainability.
The educational, economic and social development project for Syrian and Lebanese young men and women carries out a number of activities and training focused on entrepreneurship, targeting 500 young men and women refugees and Lebanese citizens. The activities of the project are carried out by Makhzoumi Foundation and ActionAid the Arab Region in Lebanon, in partnership with the Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering (RDFL), Justice Without Frontiers (JWF) and Fe-Male.
