Based on the sustainable development goals for society, which we always strive to achieve, Makhzoumi Foundation participated in the National Campaign of the Ministry of Social Affairs to combat addiction, spread awareness on reproductive health, family education, and nutrition, and to promote community development in cooperation with the Lebanese Microfinance Association. Noting that the Makhzoumi Foundation is a founding member of the Lebanese Microfinance Association that is funded by the Bank of Lebanon and developed by the international organization Positive Planet.
In this context, the trainers of the microcredit program at Makhzoumi Foundation presented a “training of trainers” TOT, in the form of workshops and lectures on the subject of financial literacy as a working paper in the framework of family education, as well as other partners in different centers of the Ministry of Social Affairs in all regions of Lebanon.
The trainers of Makhzoumi Foundation, and the trainers of the partner institutions, explained the good financial practices in the homes, and how to plan the start of a commercial project, during the sessions held on the 6th and 13th of October of this year, attended by 130 trainees, to enable them to adopt and submit the curriculum developed by Positive Planet.
During the workshop held by the Makhzoumi trainers at one of Ministry of Social Affairs’ centers in Bourj Hammoud, on the 6th of October, the Director General of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Judge Abdullah Ahmed, paid a short visit and delivered a short speech explaining the ministry’s objectives in this campaign, and encouraged people to adopt best financial practices to be able to maintain the most important unit in society: the family.
إنطلاقًا من أهداف التنمية المستدامة للمجتمع، والتي نسعى دائمًا إلى تحقيقها، شاركت مؤسسة مخزومي في الحملة الوطنية لوزارة الشؤون الإجتماعية لمكافحة الإدمان، والتوعية حول الصحة الإنجابية، وتربية العائلة، والتغذية، وتعزيز سُبل تطوير المجتمع، بالتعاون مع جمعية التمويل الأصغر اللبنانية، والتي تُعتبر مؤسسة مخزومي عضو مؤسس فيها، بتمويلٍ من مصرف لبنان، وإعداد منظّمة “الكوكب الإيجابي” العالمية (Positive Planet).
وفي هذا السياق، قدّم مدربو برنامج القروض الصغيرة في مؤسسة مخزومي تدريبًا للمدربين، على شكل ورشات عملٍ ومحاضرات ضمن موضوع محو الأمية المالية كورقة عمل في إطار موضوع التربية الأسرية، إلى جانب شركاءٍ آخرين، في مراكز تابعة لوزارة الشؤون الإجتماعية في مختلف المناطق اللبنانية.
حيث شرح مدربو مؤسسة مخزومي، ومدربو المؤسسات الشريكة، الممارسات المالية الجيدة في المنازل، وكيفية التخطيط لبدء مشروع تجاري، خلال جلسات أُقيمت يومي السادس والثالث عشر من شهر تشرين الأوّل من العام الجاري، حضرها 130 متدرّب، لتمكينهم من اعتماد وتقديم المناهج الدراسية المقدمة من قبل منظمة Positive Planet.
خلال جسلة ورشة العمل التي قدّمها مدربو مؤسسة مخزومي في أحد المقار التابعة لوزارة الشؤون الإجتماعية في منطقة برج حمود ، في السادس من تشرين الأوّل، زار مدير عام وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية القاضي عبدالله أحمد، وألقى خطابًا صغيرًا يوضح فيه أهداف الوزارة في هذه الحملة، وشجع فيه الأشخاص على تبني أفضل الممارسات المالية للتمكن من الحفاظ على أهم وحدة في المجتمع: الأسرة.
