Makhzoumi Foundation participated in the conference that was held by the Ministry of Environment under the title “Launching the Sustainable Policy for Solid Waste Management”, on March 19, 2018, at Mövenpick Hotel in Beirut, under the patronage and in presence of the Minister of Environment, Mr. Tarek Al Khatib. Makhzoumi Foundation representative spoke at the conference presenting Makhzoumi Foundation’s activities and projects in this field:
– Raising awareness at schools on solid waste management and practical applications on reusing it.
– Conducting workshops for women based on solid waste recycling such as Papier Mâché, Découpage, and Patchwork…
– “Yalla Nefroz” Initiative that the Foundation has launched in Beirut to encourage citizens to sort wastes to be then collected by the Foundation and transferred to the factories for recycling.
