Everyone in Lebanon is affected by the current economic situation, and unfortunately, in a situation like the one we are going through now, the most vulnerable communities are the ones affected the most, both Lebanese and refugees.
Therefore, The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees UNHCR and its partners, launched “Together We Give Warmth” campaign, to assist thousands of Lebanese families and refugees during the winter, in cooperation with the Lebanese local authorities, a number of NGOs, and Makhzoumi Foundation as a partner in Beirut and Mount Lebanon regions. The national campaign provides basic life-saving assistance and relief materials to help vulnerable families cope with the harsh winter weather.
Makhzoumi Foundation, in cooperation with UNHCR, distributed various types of relief to families in need, on Saturday, January 14, 2019 in sports ville, for thousands of families. A number of recreational and educational activities for children were also held.
In total, more than 20,000 Lebanese families have benefited from this campaign.
يتأثر الجميع في لبنان بالوضع الاقتصادي الحالي، وللأسف، في مثل هذه الحالة التي نمر بها الآن، فإن المجتمعات الأكثر ضعفًا هي الأكثر تضرراً، اللبنانيين واللاجئين على حد سواء.
لذلك، أطلقت المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين وشركاؤها حملة ” مع بعض مندفي القلوب” لمساعدة آلاف الأسر اللبنانية واللاجئة خلال فصل الشتاء، بالتعاون مع السلطات المحليّة اللبنانية، وعدد من الجمعيات غير الحكومية، ومؤسسة مخزومي كشريك في مناطق بيروت وجبل لبنان. حيث توفر الحملة الوطنية المساعدات الأساسية والمنقذة للحياة ومواد الإغاثة، لمساعدة الأسر المستضعفة على مواجهة طقس الشتاء القاسي.
وقامت مؤسسة مخزومي، بالتعاون مع المفوضية السامية للأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين، بتوزيع أنواع مختلفة من الإغاثة للأسر التي هي في أمس الحاجة إليها، يوم السبت 14 كانون الثاني 2019 في sports ville، لآلاف العائلات. كما أُقيمت عدد من النشاطات الترفيهية والتثقيفية للأطفال.
وقد استفاد من هذه الحملة بالمجمل أكثر من عشرين ألف عائلة لبنانية.
