Makhzoumi Foundation primary healthcare center is assigned as a mental health community center in a pilot study that is ongoing. As such, it provides through the Ministry of Public Health a list of mental and neurological medications free of charge to its community members based on specialized physician’s prescriptions. To improve the prescribing habits of those medications, the National Mental Health Program at the Ministry of Public Health in collaboration with the World Health Organization organized orientation sessions for psychiatrists, neurologists and clinical pharmacists to launch the “Guide for the rational prescription of medications for priority mental and neurological conditions for specialists in the public health system”. This guide advocates for the rational medication prescription and provides contextualized evidence-based pharmacological treatment to improve quality of prescription.
تم اختيار مركز الرعاية الصحية الأولية التابع لمؤسسة مخزومي في المزرعة في بيروت كمركز مجتمعي للصحة النفسية والعصبية في دراسة تجريبية مستمرة. على هذا النحو، فإن المركز يوفر من خلال وزارة الصحة العامة قائمة من أدوية الصحة النفسية والعصبية مجاناً لأفراد المجتمع على أساس وصفات طبية من الأطباء الأخصائيين في العلاج النفسي والعصبي. ولتحسين عادات وصف هذه الأدوية، قام البرنامج الوطني للصحة النفسية في وزارة الصحة العامة بالتعاون مع منظمة الصحة العالمية بتنظيم جلسات توجيهية للأطباء النفسيين وأطباء الأعصاب والصيادلة السريريين لإطلاق ” الدليل لترشيد وصف الأدوية للحالات النفسية والعصبية ذات الأولوية من قبل المتخصصين العاملين في نظام الصحة العامة “. يحثّ هذا الدليل على ترشيد وصف الدواء ويوفّر العلاج الدوائي المستند إلى الأدلة العلمية لتحسين جودة الوصفات الطبية وضمان استمرارية الرعاية.
