Sexual and reproductive health of women is linked to multiple human rights, including the right to life, the right not to be subjected to torture, the right to health and privacy, to education and to the prohibition of discrimination. This means that the State and the groups responsible for it have obligations to respect, protect and fulfill the rights related to women’s sexual and reproductive health. In support of this, the Makhzoumi Foundation and a large number of associations and institutions, including the Ministry of Public Health and the United Nations Population Fund, participated in a workshop to discuss the findings and report of the National Assessment on Sexual and Reproductive Rights in Lebanon.
