With the beginning of 2021, Beirut, the Lebanese capital, has been chosen as the “socially responsible Arab city for the year 2021”. This came based on the desire of the Regional Network for Social Responsibility to build fruitful partnerships with government, private and community agencies in the Beirut community, and to cooperate with them, to enhance social responsibility practices and sustainable development.
The Regional CSR Network announced that “a partnership will be achieved with the Beirut Governorate, represented by the Governor of Beirut, Judge Marwan Abboud, on behalf of the official government sector, and Makhzoumi Foundation, the official representative of the Regional CSR Network in Lebanon, as a representative of non-governmental organizations.”
The Regional CSR Network hoped that “this year will carry with it many achievements that will impact on building a model for sustainable applications in the city of Beirut.”
