As part of Makhzoumi Foundation’s continuous endeavor to implement the sustainable development goals and establish its bases in society, and in recognition of the importance of community partnership, the Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and Sustainable Development, MIO ECSDE.
The signing ceremony was held at the Martyr Fouad Fayyad’s hall, at Makhzoumi Foundation headquarters on Thursday, April 11, 2019. The President of Makhzoumi Foundation, Mrs. May Makhzoumi, signed the agreement with the president of the Mediterranean Information Office for Environment, Culture and Sustainable Development, Michael Schulos. The signing ceremony was attended by Makhzoumi Foundation Honorary President MP. Fouad Makhzoumi, the Foundation’s Board of directors and its program directors.
This agreement is the culmination of more than 15 years of collaboration in the implementation of various and diverse projects to protect and preserve the environment, to promote sustainable development and to promote community behaviors towards sustainable lifestyles.
Recall that Makhzoumi Foundation is a member of the Mediterranean Network for Environment and Sustainable Development.
انطلاقاً من سعي مؤسسة مخزومي الدائم لتطبيق أهداف التنمية المُستدامة وإرساء قواعدها في المجتمع، وإيمانًا بأهمية الشراكة المجتمعية، وقّعت مؤسسة مخزومي اتفاقية شراكة استراتيجية مع مكتب معلومات المتوسط لشؤون البيئة والثقافة والتنمية المستدامة MIO ECSDE
أُقيم حفل التوقيع في قاعة الشهيد فؤاد فياض في المقر الرئيسي لمؤسسة مخزومي يوم الخميس 11 نيسان 2019. حيث وقّعت رئيسة مؤسسة مخزومي السيدة مي مخزومي الاتفاقية مع رئيس مكتب معلومات المتوسط لشؤون البيئة والثقافة والتنمية المستدامة، السيد مايكل سكولوس. حضر مراسم التوقيع الرئيس الفخري لمؤسسة مخزومي النائب فؤاد مخزومي، والهيئة الإدارية للمؤسسة ومدراء برامجها.
أتت هذه الاتفاقية تتويجًا لأكثر من 15 عاماً من التعاون في تنفيذ مشاريع متعددة ومختلفة، لحماية البيئة والمحافظة عليها، وللتربية على التنمية المستدامة وتشجيع السلوكيات المجتمعية نحو أنماط معيشة مستدامة.
يُذكر أن مؤسسة مخزومي هي عضو في الشبكة المتوسطية لشؤون البيئة والتنمية المستدامة.
