Lebanese pharmacy students have established several years ago an association that gathers people from all Lebanese universities, specializing in pharmacy studies. Their mission is to unite all pharmacy students around Lebanon, allow them to learn from one another, and share experiences together through organizing and taking part of many healthcare events.
They have named it LPSA, standing for Lebanese Pharmacy Students Association.
LPSA has been working with Makhzoumi Foundation since 2016. Many awareness sessions were implemented at the primary Healthcare Center in Mazraa. All the topics addressed are selected based on the community needs.
This year, LPSA gathered to make awareness about Diabetes. The session included participants from all nationalities and ages. Questions and answers, true and false notions and small discussions added trusted information to what the participants had. The main questions were about the types of medications used for diabetes and the difference between them, in addition to questions about insulin and its appropriate use.
